Chain of Friends
I finished my Sylvia's Bridal Sampler swap quilt! And just in time. The deadline is tomorrow if I want my quilt to be considered for an appearance in Jennifer Chiaverini's new SBS book. I decided to name it Chain of Friends. I love how it turned out. When it is all finished being quilted and bound it will happily reside on our bed.
And a side view...

Wow, it's amazing! You are going to love having that on your bed. What a treasure!!! It turned out so beautiful.
Amazing quilt! I love to find new quilting sites. I have yet to make a quilt bigger than a babies. I am jealous of your get-away too! I need to find something like that where it forces you to just sew/quilt! I could get soooooo much done. Looks like you had fun.
gorgeous! you are so talented, trisha. and your blog is extremely aesthetically pleasing! i am going to really enjoy dropping in from time to time, to see and read about your latest and greatest! and yes, your flowers are busting out beautiful!
thanks for the unexpected visit - that was so nice!
thanks for visiting my blog and for your kind comment.
your quilt is FABULOUS!!!! I love it. How long do you think it took you to make it?
Thanks, AmandaJean! The swap blocks were just sitting and ready to be put into the quilt so I just had to make the setting squares. I made the four patches using the strip piecing method, that always speeds up the process. When I went to retreat I only had the four patches sewn together and everything else cut. I spent two full days on the quilt at the retreat and then came home and spent two more days. I barely finished in time for my deadline. Whew!
It turned out absolutely beautiful. They HAVE to accept it for the book. How long till you hear from them, do you know?
Hello! Finally an SBS quilter with a blog...well, there are some, but not many. I love the way you have put together this quilt. I wonder, could you tell me how to make the fill in blocks? This is a very good idea for the upcoming red and white swap. I'm working on the border on my big SBS quilt, and hope to get it done within August. I will not quilt it myself.
And about your Dear Jane, what a nice idea to make two blocks at a time and swap!
Oh wow. What a great finish.
I love your quilt, it is so beautiful!!
