November Schnibbles

How can anyone not love prairie points? They are just so sweet.

I thought they would be perfect for the border of my November Schnibbles quilt. This pattern is called Picnic and it was just that. So fun to make!
My only regret is the red, which is my favorite color, but I am not loving it in this quilt. And I seriously do not know how the only two red baskets ended up right next to each other when that was not part of the layout. Something happened between the living room floor and the sewing machine. So I have decided that I am going to embrace the red and put a red binding on the quilt to (hopefully) make it look like the red wasn't a huge mistake.

My mom and I have been having a fun visit. There hasn't been a lot of sewing/knitting time so I am definitely behind on getting my UFOs done, but it has been worth it. She goes to my sister's house in a few days so I will get back to work then. For now I want to spend all my time with her until she leaves.

I really like it. The red is fine, it would be bland without it, I think. I was just about to put prairie points on a quilt, and I was going to turn them outward.. perhaps I'll change my mind and put them inward. It would make it a lot easier to finish. I was dreading the backing issue with them outward. I've never used them before.

I love the red in it - wouldn't change a thing - it gives it that twinkle that it needs as sometimes 30s can start to look washed out.

and like you Red is my favoirite color too! ;)

Love from Texas! ~bonnie

Love the prairie points! It sort of softens the piece. You would think it wouldn't with the sharp points but it does. It looks wonderful! I agree with everyone, the red binding will wrap this beauty perfectly!

I so love your prairie points in the border and wish I had thought of it. {Don't tell Carrie, but I think they are better than the pattern's border} The red binding is a great idea!

Hi, I'm new to your blog, but I like the red in it! I think it puts a great pop in it and makes the other colors look even brighter!! Can't wait to see it with the red binding! I'll bet it looks fabulous!

The red rectangles help balance it, and a red border would, too. It's a pretty quilt.
